Mt Buller Day Walks

The club has been offered the use of the Melbourne Walking Club ski lodge at Mt Buller Resort by a local member of MWC, Colin Crook, so we have booked the lodge for 4 nights from Wednesday 10 March ’27 and departing Sunday 14 March.  

The relatively new and comfortable lodge has capacity for 14 guests, with accommodation in 4 and 2 person bunk rooms, a good kitchen, a lounge area and it is very centrally located in the village.  Assuming we fill the lodge, the total cost for the 4 nights will be $135/person.

There are many options for long and short walks on and around the mountain, including a walk out to Mt Stirling, up to the Mt Buller summit, Little Buller, and up/down the north west ridge.  There is plenty of time to plan a range of extended and easier walks between now and then. 

If people wish to arrange alternative accommodation on the mountain, they will be more than welcome to join us on the walks.  Please let me know if you intend to do this so we can plan to meet for the activities.
