About Our Club
The Club was established in 1980 and has continued to flourish with its focus on the enjoyment of outdoor activities for all ages. The club currently has approximately 150 members and is affiliated with Bushwalking Victoria
The aims of the club are to promote interest in bushwalking and outdoor activities in the Ballarat region, to help members develop their bushwalking skills, to cooperate with other groups having similar interests, and to create a friendly and supportive environment within the club.
The outdoor activities undertaken by the club are planned and led by its members, and while the level of expertise required to lead a difficult multi day pack hike is considerable, most members are more than capable of leading easy walks and other activities. The club can provide training and assistance to hep members develop their trip leader skills.
The annual membership fee for the club is $50 per adult. Children of club members under 18 are free.
